Hello everyone, Alexis Rose back again to talk about the next edition of Battleground, with Halloween right around the corner. WWR Owner Michael Showtime decided to throw a holiday themed edition for Battleground entitled Fright Night. Which promises to be unlike any other Battleground in the history of the company.
We already know that Showtime will be opening the show with a major announcement which is rumored to have heavy implications on the main event for Rising II. If I were the Suplex Queen, I would probably be worried about who or whom she will be defending her World Championship against. We also know we will hear from Dominique Frost to give Bobbi the answer about the match that the two will compete in at the pay per view, will Bobbi earn her contract and freedom back here in WWR? Or has the Phoenix walked right into the Dominiqtrix's trap? We will find out soon enough!
We also know that WWR Goddess of the Cage Champion Envy Ellis will be in the house on the 22nd to watch over the proceedings. After a grueling title defense on Thursday night, the Champion will be looking for her challenger at Rising II. If you want to step into the ring with the Goddess, you best impress her at Fright Night!
On top of all of that, we still have matches to announce! So let's not waste anymore time, it's time to run down the card for Fright Night. It will surely be a fun, spooky, and eventful show as it is the final stop in the road to WWR: Rising II coming on November 5th, as always thank you for your support of WWR!

Before the show goes live WWR will air live on YouTube and our social media channels with another edition of WWR Dark! This edition of Dark will feature the woman who came within an eyelash of becoming the new Goddess of the Cage Champion, Diamond Steele as she takes on the always ready Halo. This match can ONLY be seen on WWR Dark, so make sure you tune in to check it out!!!
Diamond Steele vs. Halo
SIX WOMAN TAG FOR THE #1 CONTENDERSHIP OF THE WWR BATTLEGROUND CHAMPIONSHIP
WWR is no stranger to the "Good Friends, Better Enemies" match type. And with the current Battleground Champion Mayumi Tanahashi not overly thrilled about the multi woman matches she's had to take on so far it won't be getting any easier for her at the pay per view as the winning team here will step into a match for the title with the match type still to be announced? Coming off their one show suspensions, will Chesty LaRue and Lassindra V be able to put their differences aside with the returning Misti Malandro to head to Rising II to compete for championship gold or will the Monarch, the Jinx, and da Adorkable Angel spoil their party? Furthermore, will Mayumi even make it to Rising II with the title around her waist!? Will it be Brittany Williams heading into the pay per view with her first very difficult title defense? Tune in to find out!
SINGLES MATCH
Look up controversy in the dictionary and you'll most likely see Diamond Caldwell's face. She has certainly created quite a drama since arriving in WWR earlier on this year. A few nights ago she admitted to Seleana Zdunich that she had feelings for her wife. While Zdunich and Caldwell seemed to bury the hatchet that night you gotta wonder what will happen when Crystal returns to action later on in the evening? Will Diamond be able to focus on the task at hand in the multi-talented Jenni Taylor? Or will Taylor take advantage of all the drama surrounding Diamond and pick up an important win heading into Rising II? We will find out soon enough!
PUMPKIN ON A POLE MATCH
The first ever WWR Six Woman Tag Team Championship match will have a rematch at Rising II after Simply Glam earned a rematch against the Beautification Movement a few nights ago. But before we get to Rising II, these two teams must be represented at Fright Night as Juliana Mendoza will see singles action for the first time in WWR as she goes one on one with Sarah Richardson in a Pumpkin on a Pole match! Which ever woman is able to retrieve the pumpkin from the pole will be able to legally use it a weapon in tonight's match up. You have to believe the other members of both teams will be at ringside for this one. What type of craziness will we see here? Your guess is as good as mine! But it should certainly be entertaining!
TRICK OR TREAT TAG TEAM BATTLE ROYALE
TRICK OR TREAT!! That's what five of the best tag teams on the WWR are going to have to be worried about in a very unique battle royale at Fright Night. There will be two contracts hanging in opposite corners of the ring. Once three of the five teams have been eliminated battle royale style, the chase to the briefcases is on. One case will be quite the treat, as it will grant the team that retrieves it a tag team title shot at Rising II against Tiger Pride. The other case? Well...that's going to be quite the Trick! What will that be!? Is it even worth trying to win this match?! Tune in to find out!
WWR BATTLEGROUND CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE MATCH
Mayumi Tanahashi has been craving singles competition since arriving in WWR, well at Fright Night she's going to get it, as she defends the WWR Battleground Championship against without a shadow of a doubt the most ANNOYING member of the roster in none other than Brittany Williams. Will the Sky Child be able to withstand Williams physical onslaught and her big mouth to be able to retain her championship going into the pay per view? I surely hope so! Because if not, I know Brittany will NEVER let us hear the end of it...I'm already dreading the thought! Don't lose this one Mayumi...the WWR Nation is counting on you!
FATAL 4 WAY MATCH
This is an interesting one! A fatal four way with some of the most talented women on the WWR roster. Two of which, Eliza and Anya...are coming off pinfall victories over our World Champion in recent weeks. The other a legend in her own right in Keira Johnson and the former WWR Chaos Champion, Charlotte Haliday. Who we are seeing for the first time since she lost the title a almost a month ago to Victoria Salinas. Why the owner has made this match right now is an absolute mystery. Does this have something to do with his announcement at the start of the show? Your guess is as good as mine, all I can guess is this match is going to be a lot more important than these women realize right now...
HAUNTED FUN HOUSE MATCH
Oh boy, I don't even want to know how much money our owner spent on this one! After successfully defending their tag team titles a few nights ago, Tiger Pride step into brand new territory on Fright Night as they will compete in the first ever Haunted Fun House match! Off site from the Petersen Events Center. This Haunted House will be at an undisclosed location somewhere in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Their opponents? The first time pairing of Jonna Austin and Stephanie Sullivan. I really don't know what to expect from a match inside a Haunted House but I can only assume it will be crazy because there will obviously be no DQs, count outs, or even a ring! This match will most likely be talked about several years from now so don't you dare miss this most unique and spooky match up!
MAIN EVENT - NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET FIGHT
The main event of the evening will take a sharp right on Elm Street as this six woman tag will most certainly be a nightmare for the losers as Bobbi Jackson teams with a returning Crystal Zdunich and the WWR Chaos Champion Victoria Salinas against the WWR World Champion Susan Rigger, her stablemate and owner of Bobbi's WWR contract Dominique Frost, and the number one contender for Victoria's title in Eve O'Donnell. This is going to be an all out war. No rules...anything goes. The only way to win will be to toss your opponents in one of the two giant pools of blood at ringside. But just between you and me, that's not REALLY blood! It's just fruit punch! Come on! We aren't monsters here! Hah! Who will be sticky for days following Fright Night? Which team will build important momentum heading into Rising II? Make sure you tune in and fight out on October 22nd!!! Happy Halloween from all of us at WWR!
