The scene opens up inside the arena... WWR's Rising 2 had just concluded. While the crowd buzzes on the way out of the arena, most with the disappointment of knowing that while the reign of the Queen, Susan Rigger, has ended, a new member of the Court, Dominique Frost, reigns as WWR Champion. But that is not the only title to change hands.
And thus, we come to the point of our scene.
In the locker-rooms, Envy Ellis sits alone. Gone is the WWR Goddess of the Cage Championship that she wore so proudly, lost to Diamond Caldwell earlier in the night. It was an impressive reign for Ellis, who won the Championship in November at Belles On Parade. She sits alone, setting up her cell phone to record her message to be broadcast across her social medias... Looking into the camera, she forces a smile.
"So here we are," she begins. "When I embarked on my career inside the vaunted cage ten months ago, I knew it would eventually come to this. Someday, I would be sitting before you a former Champion. When Michael Showtime announced the caveat of that belt... that I would be able to choose my own challengers... it added a new dimension to this feeling. Eventually, I would choose my own successor, and tonight that successor took her spot. I want to congratulate Diamond Caldwell on being that successor and hope that she does that Championship... the title that I built... proud."
Envy sighs, looking around, swallowing bitter defeat. But then something happens... she smiles. Not a forced smile... but a real one.
"But for the rest of WWR, know that what Diamond Caldwell did was more than take the reins of the Cage," she says, licking her lips. "She set me free."
Envy sits up straighter, her voice picking up in intensity.
"When I joined WWR the first time around, I knew what I wanted to be," she says. "I knew what I was DESTINED to become, and that was a Champion! Now, I've accomplished that with two separate reigns... a forgotten Battleground reign, and a division defining Goddess of the Cage reign. NOW... I'm let out of the cage, and that is bad news for ANYONE who wants to stand between me and my goals! And I don't care who it is in front of me, or who your friends are... in my mind, there's but ONE endgame..."
Envy sits forward, reaching for the camera...
"Envy Ellis: WWR Champion. Just try and stop me!"
She switches the phone off, bringing our scene to a close.
