Hey everyone...
I have been part of this lovely game called “e-fedding” for the better part of two decades now. While I have taken a few breaks during that time, this game has always been one of my favorite hobbies and one of my favorite things to do to escape the troubles and issues of the real world.
During one of my times away, the popularity of this game on social media skyrocketed. I always felt like there were positives and negatives to it. I truly believed in my heart that forms of social media are absolutely NOT needed when it comes to running a successful e-fed.
It has been done well before social media and it will continue to be done well after these sites are dead and buried and the next communication online source comes along to replace them. Earlier this week I determined based on several things that I don't need to go over here (You as the WWR roster know why) that I believe that WWR in no way needs social media to be a fun successful e-fed that you can all interact with and enjoy.
So next week I will be amending the rules and guidelines of WWR. Namely, the fact that not only will a Twitter account no longer be required. Anything done on that platform (while still appreciated) will no longer be judged or considered in the overall success of your wrestler(s) here at WWR.
With that...WWR is at an early crossroad. One I in no way take lightly, but I believe that action must be taken. And with that in turn we must discuss how to handle interactions between talent for the company going forward.
I present you all the following two options which you can vote for with this poll to help determine how WWR proceeds. I truly wanted to present you all with three but I really couldn't figure out a viable third option that mad sense. That being said however, there are no wrong answers here. This is absolutely a discussion I would love to have with each and every member of the roster that has an opinion on this. So let's run them down...
1.) A WWR “Social Stream” section (Name Pending):
We create our own form of “social stream” here on the boards. Everyone will have their own post thread, like their own social stream account. And you can use it anyway you like. Saying what you're doing, posting pictures, conversing or arguing with fellow WWR talent. This would truly only be limited by your imagination. The effort put into your onsite social stream here will also be factored into your push, although just like it is now. Segments will still be weighted heavier, but this will absolutely help decide who gets pushed and who does not.
2.) WWR becomes a competitive RP fed:
I truly don't know how popular this option will be. Some of us love to write, some of us have been long past that and more all about the idea of angled e-fedding. If this wins the poll I will work hand in hand with the roster to make sure we have a set of rules that everyone would feel comfortable with. That would include things such as RP limits per show, character count limits, and such like that to make sure no one feels overwhelmed. I know this isn't what any of you signed up for. But I want to present you with options so you truly feel like you're part of the process here.
So there you have it, please....cast your vote and help me shape WWR into the great e-fed that I know in my heart that it can be. Thank you everyone! I look forward to speaking with each and every one of you over the course of this weekend if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
