Oh man...lol
I've never done one of these before. But I told myself if I ever decided to run my own fed again that I would be doing these out of character topics after every show to run down the event and give my opinions on the show and my thought process behind it. This is also for the roster to provide any feedback on how they felt about the show as well. I really want WWR to be the most fun fed you've ever been in, and I will continue to try and come up with new and fun ideas to create that type of atmosphere here. I apologize ahead of time if some of this comes across as rambling (which I am known to do) but I'm gonna do my best! Haha!
Match 1: 15 Woman Battle Royale for the number one contendership of the WWR Battleground Championship
Written by: Super Tiger
Winner(s): Victoria Salinas and Diamond Caldwell
Over half of the participants sent in segments for this one. I was incredibly happy to see that which made the decision all the harder. At the end of the day I really couldn't make up my mind and went for the tried and true Luger/Hart finish to give us our winners in this battle royale. I very much look forward to the Battleground title match on the next show, that should be spectacular...but more on that later!
Match 2: The Beautification Movement vs Wildside
Written by: Juliana Mendoza
Winners: The Beautification Movement
I was very happy with both teams participation here, in both hype and segments. Another really hard call, but I felt a cheating win for the Beautifcation Movement would make more sense than a clean win for Wildside. I wanted both teams going strong into the next show. Once you all see the card you will understand, both teams have their work cut out for them on BG 11!
Match 3: Dominique Frost vs. Diamond Steele in a Hardcore match
Written by: Myself
Winner: Dominique Frost
I'm just gonna be honest here, I expected more from the handler of Diamond Steele for this show and that goes for all of their characters. I know these things happen from time to time but it didn't make me any less bummed out to not get a segment from any of their characters (someone writing your character for you doesn't count). Dominique did a great job with both hype and a segment. It was an easy choice to give the Dominiqtrix a convincing dominant win. I for one, am hoping Steele's handler bounces back at BG 11. But we will see how it goes.
Match 4: Daria Dorsey vs. Chesty Larue
Written by: Arley Kirk
Winner: Daria Dorsey
This was a funny match booking decision by me just based off chat banter in the OOC chat. When both characters ended up in WWR I thought it would be fun to have these two rookies of the squared circle face off. Daria picked up the win in a pretty even match thanks to the assistance of her trainer Jessica Jackson and in hand revealed Daria joining the Queen's Court, essentially filling the spot that was left blank with Eden Hart not returning to WWR as an active competitor. I believe Daria is an excellent fit for the group and I look forward to seeing how her and Jessica gel as a team going forward.
Match 5: Arley Kirk vs. Lassindra V vs. Charlotte Haliday (c) in a Hangwoman's Horror match for the WWR Chaos Championship
Written by: Super Tiger
Winner: Charlotte Haliday retains her WWR Chaos title
While I thought all three did great with hype, the champ delivered with a really good segment that all but secured her successful title defense. The post match was just as surprising to me as it probably was to others as it was only proposed to me earlier this week. I didn't have a problem with it however and gave it the green light. Although I did find it to be funny that Lass's boyfriend was in the crowd when that moment went down. I'll be interested in seeing where this all goes from here. Well done to all three of you.
Match 6: Azurine Vebbins vs. Eve O'Donnell vs. Malaya Diyosa vs. Crystal Zdunich (c) in a Fatal 4 Way match for the WWR Battleground Championship
Written by: Arley Kirk
Winner: Eve O'Donnell becomes the new WWR Battleground Champion
I've already said my piece on the lack of participation from the champion for this show. I'm not going to beat a dead horse. I would like to congratulate the new Champ in Eve O'Donnell who I felt busted their ass in both hype and segments. They really generated a lot of heat and came out of this looking great. Azzy and Malaya both did a great job as well and I was happy to see their participation for this title match, thank you both!
Match 7: Bobbi Jackson and Super Tiger vs. Susan Rigger and Eliza Frost-Showtime
Written by: Susan Rigger
Winners: Bobbi Jackson and Super Tiger
In my mind, I envisioned Super Tiger scoring the big win here on Susan to end this match. But clearly the writer had other ideas. Not saying its necessarily a bad thing, but I'm just saying the finish didn't exactly go how I had planned it to. But these things happen, I wasn't specific enough about who was going to pin who so that's on me. I think the tease of a split between Eliza and Susan is a good piece of business and honestly was a story that was going to take place in GZWA but due to that company shutting down it's going to play out here instead. I'm super excited to watch the story play out over the next couple of shows.
Match 8: Zoe Jane vs. Envy Ellis (c) for the WWR Goddess of the Cage Championship
Written by: Susan Rigger
Winner: Envy Ellis retains the WWR Goddess of the Cage Championship
Good Lordy what a main event. Great effort from both the Champion and the challenger and I felt Susan did a phenomenal job with the match (as usual). This match was in the plans for what feels like forever now. As Envy stated in her promo, this was meant to happen back in late March/early April. It finally happened in July. Better late than never. WWR's first original feud that started with the very first show finally comes to a close at BG X. Or has it...? lol! Who knows what the future might bring, but in my mind I feel like this chapter is closed. I look forward to seeing what direction Envy will go in now that she's free and clear of her long term rival for the time being. Should be a lot of fun!
OVERALL THOUGHTS:
I was really happy with the turnout overall. I got a TON of segments and ended up using more color shades for the coding of names than I think I've EVER done before. So that just goes to show you how much people sent in. Which I'm totally grateful for. When I decided to bring WWR back I really didn't know what to expect. But to have the roster blow up so quick and so far seeing all the great feedback from the roster about the return show fills me with a great deal of joy. I put my heart and soul into this place behind the scenes the first time around. Now I'm front and center and I'm actually in charge over the direction of the company and everything goes along with it.
Thank you all who decided to take this journey with me, and I hope you enjoyed Revolution X! I will continue to do my very best to not let anybody down. The card for BG 11 entitled "Broken Throne" will be up later on this evening. I don't have a specific time at the moment, but I will alert all of you when it goes live.
In closing, thanks for being here. Thanks for having fun. Thanks for everything! Let's continue to have fun together! Long live WWR! Please feel free to comment on BG X below! I'd love to hear your thoughts!
